2018 Blues Hall of Fame inductee Tom Forst, AKA The Suit, is a blues-rock guitarist and singer-songwriter from Hartford, CT. The 67 year old musician is currently in the studio recording a follow up to his 2017 album "On Fire" produced by Grammy Award winner Paul Nelson, who performed with Johnny Winter.

Forst is a tireless performer who splits his time between touring with a full band and touring as a solo act, on course to perform 250 live dates and radio shows in 2018. He has just signed an agency deal with Music Dish LLC, the largest independent booking agency in Great China, where he will tour for the first time in November 2018.

A life-long musician who joined the corporate world, "for a couple of years, to put some food on the table and try to get my kids through college," a job that would become a 25-year career as VP of a major television advertiser. "I loved it, but I always had a plan to go back into music; the day my wife and I paid the last college tuition bill, I gave my notice."

Tom The Suit's Forst's unique story has attracted loyal fans of all ages, many just admiring his willingness to leave the corporate life at a career peak to follow his dream of a full-time career in music, as well as those discovering his unique style of blues rock songwriting that is has been called a cross between Joe Bonamassa and Joe Walsh. His story and music has been featured on Channel 12 News CT, and been covered by several newspapers and music bloggers, and continues to build.

"Not my soundest financial decision, as you can imagine, but I am working as hard on this as I possibly can, and I'm enjoying every second of it. I don't wake up every day and think "Oh I'm living the dream," but I'm just so glad I have another job that I enjoy so much," he says.

About being called The Suit: "I had started performing again, and I got called up on stage to play with my son's punk rock band. I was still wearing my business suit in those days. People started chanting "Suit Suit Suit!" The name stuck. I've been Tom The Suit Forst ever since."
